Parsons School of Design unveils BFA Fashion Design Class of 2026

The Parsons 2026 BFA Graduate Runway Show took place on Sunday, unveiling the next generation of fashion designers. 

Dubbed “Ensemble”, the annual showcase was described as “[…] a celebration of creative diversity in its truest form,” drawing inspiration from the idea of a musical ensemble, where distinct voices contribute to a unified vision. 

It brought together the work of 31 emerging designers representing 12 nationalities across four continents. The event highlighted collections spanning womenswear, menswear, and gender-neutral design, with dedicated work in size inclusive and adaptive fashion.

Design influences featured throughout the showcase ranged from Georgian youth protest to Indigenous Filipinx spirituality, Turkish feminist craft to Southern American identity, Japanese repair traditions to the material culture of Yunnan and Thailand.

Several collections incorporated upcycling, circular design principles, reclaimed textiles and slow-fashion methodologies, underscoring a broader industry shift toward responsible production and inclusivity. The showcase also emphasized adaptive and accessible fashion, highlighting a new generation of designers rethinking who fashion is created for and how garments are produced.

“Ensemble is a testament to Parsons School of Design’s place as one of the most internationally diverse fashion programs in the world — and to what becomes possible when that diversity is given a runway. United, they are an ensemble,” Parsons said in a statement.
