Quito is participating at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, taking place from 3 to 5 November at ExCeL London, with its own stand (N8-314), where it is showcasing its tourism offering and strengthening its positioning among international travel industry professionals. The Ecuadorian capital is using this global platform to reinforce relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, specialised media and strategic partners across Europe’s key source markets.
Recognised as one of the most important events in the global travel and tourism industry, WTM London brings together thousands of professionals, destinations and tourism businesses from around the world each year, creating opportunities for business generation, knowledge exchange and commercial development. Quito’s participation forms part of its internationalisation and promotion strategy in priority markets, developed jointly with CAPTUR (Provincial Chamber of Tourism of Pichincha) and representatives of the private tourism sector.
The city’s presence is led by Quito Turismo, the metropolitan public tourism organisation responsible for promoting, developing and positioning Ecuador’s capital nationally and internationally. Its work brings together public and private stakeholders to enhance the destination’s competitiveness, promoting a diverse tourism offering that combines heritage, culture, gastronomy, nature, experiences, meetings tourism, connectivity initiatives, tourism intelligence and destination marketing.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, Quito is presenting a tourism proposition that reflects the diversity of experiences available in the city. As the first city in the world to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the gateway to Ecuador’s four distinct regions, Quito combines an extraordinary cultural and historical heritage with nature, gastronomy, community-based tourism, adventure and authentic experiences that meet the evolving expectations of today’s international travellers.
The delegation is joined by representatives of the private sector, including Geo Reisen, Adventure Journeys, Latin Trails, Hacienda San Isidro, Carpedm, Kapawi Ecolodge & Reserve, Enchanted Expeditions and Galacruises, who are showcasing their products and services to international buyers while holding professional meetings aimed at driving business opportunities and increasing the commercialisation of the destination.
“WTM London represents a strategic opportunity to further strengthen Quito’s presence in Europe and consolidate our positioning in priority markets. We are attending this event alongside our private-sector partners to showcase the diversity of experiences the city offers and continue building partnerships that contribute to the sustainable growth of tourism, generating benefits throughout the destination’s value chain,” says Tatiana Sonnenholzner, Head of Communications at Quito Turismo.

WTM London: The Culmination of an Intensive European Promotional Programme
Quito’s participation at WTM London comes immediately after a professional roadshow organised by Quito Turismo, which travelled through Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, Barcelona and Milan between 26 and 30 October. The initiative provided an opportunity to present the Ecuadorian capital’s tourism offering to European tour operators and travel agencies, enhancing the destination’s visibility and generating new opportunities for commercial collaboration.
During the roadshow, representatives of Quito Turismo and tourism businesses from Quito held one-to-one meetings with industry professionals and participated in destination presentations designed to showcase the breadth of Quito’s tourism offer, spanning historical and cultural heritage, gastronomy, nature, wellness, adventure and community tourism experiences.
WTM London provides continuity to the work carried out during this European tour, extending the reach of the contacts established and reinforcing Quito’s presence across the continent’s key tourism distribution channels. The fair therefore serves as the culmination of an integrated promotional strategy designed to increase international awareness of the destination, drive tourism sales and create new opportunities for the city’s tourism business community.
Through its participation, Quito Turismo reaffirms its commitment to international promotion as a tool for strengthening the competitiveness of Ecuador’s capital in priority source markets, attracting new visitors and contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism sector
