“We’ve made each other a promise to find this treasure!” Watch Next Media has unveiled an official trailer for an animated series called Dungeons & Kittens, an animation creation from France. This is based on the TTRPG board game of the same name, being adapted in a children’s series for kids to enjoy. The story follows four exiled feline adventurers—including kittens named Precious, Fib, Ruffles, and Suds—who are wrongfully banished from the Kingdom of Cats by King Walter. To find a fallen meteorite treasure and earn their way back home, they must journey through post-apocalyptic ruins, evade stray dogs, navigate hidden traps. Developed in France, this is set for an early 2027 release worldwide via numerous channels – France TV, the BBC and the Okoo platform, among others. Their plan to get back? Track down a treasure for their king that’s just too good to turn down. But along the way, the gang has to deal with everything from hidden traps and unruly dogs, to grander challenges like navigating the remnants of forgotten civilizations. No final voice cast has been confirmed just yet. For now it’s just this adorable, extra cute, mega fun footage to enjoy as the series prepares for release soon. I dig the vibes in here and always support indie animation like this.
Here’s the first official trailer for Watch Next Media’s series Dungeons & Kittens, direct from YouTube:
In a world of fantasy and danger, the only safe haven is the Kingdom of Cats, a cozy cocoon perched high above the forest, surrounded by walls, guards, and blocked secret passageways. Though this Kingdom is impossible to enter, it’s easy to leave: the slightest act that disturbs lazy King Walter’s peace and quiet will get you banished faster than it takes to say “meow”! That’s precisely what happens to four little kittens – Fib, Precious, Suds, and Ruffles – after a terrible misunderstanding. Their only hope of going home is to find a treasure so “splendiferous” that the King will forgive their errors. But they will have to survive a thousand dangers, show unthinkable courage, resistance, ingenuity, and most of all, manage to get along!
