Captured in the lush landscapes of Nilphamari, this striking portrait of a Blue-Throated Barbet showcases the bird’s vibrant plumage and distinct facial bristles. The photographer expertly utilized a 300mm focal length to isolate the subject against its natural environment, capturing the intricate details of its green, blue, and red feathers. This image is award-worthy for its technical precision and the intimate perspective it offers on a species often hidden within the canopy. By highlighting the bird’s presence in a fruiting tree, the photograph serves as a beautiful testament to the rich biodiversity found across the Indian subcontinent.
