DKNY on Saturday opened a new flagship store in Shanghai, as the American luxury brand looks to make inroads in China.
Located on Huaihai Middle Road, one of the city’s premier fashion destinations, the new DKNY Shanghai location merges industrial accents with contemporary minimalism, creating a retail environment that feels distinctly like a New York loft.
Inside, shoppers will find the New York City brand’s ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, and accessories, set to the back drop of images of its Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, starring Hailey Bieber.
“The opening marks an important milestone for DKNY’s growth
across Asia, and reinforces the brand’s connection to China’s evolving fashion landscape,” said the G-III Apparel-owned brand, in a statement.
“As China’s fashion capital, Shanghai embodies the individuality, confidence, and momentum that have defined DKNY since its inception.”
In March, parent company G-III Apparel said total sales for fiscal 2026 fell 7% to $2.96 billion, partially offset by mid-single digit growth across the firm’s owned brand portfolio, made up of DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld, Vilebrequin, Donna Karan, G.H. Bass, and Sonia Rykiel, among others.
