Funny Trailer for ‘A Proud Family Wizmas’ Stop-Motion X-Mas Special

“Wizmas-Christmas, the gifts keep comin’!” Disney+ has revealed an official trailer for an animated holiday special coming up this month titled A Proud Family Wizmas, ready for streaming soon. It’s a Christmas story based on “The Proud Family” animated series, now airing on Disney+. It’s a stop-motion creation and because stop-motion is awesome and I always support it (go see Wildwood!), I’m featuring this trailer even if we haven’t mentioned this animated series much before. A Proud Family Wizmas is a song-filled, stop-motion holiday special that follows Penny Proud after she inadvertently destroys Christmas as we know it and then reluctantly agrees to make things right and save Christmas for the children of Emilyville and the world. In the process of delivering Yuletide cheer with the help of Santa’s irreverent elves, she discovers that – indeed – the Christmas spirit is still alive. The series features the voices of Kyla Pratt (Penny), Tommy Davidson (Oscar), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy), JoMarie Payton (Suga Mama), Cedric the Entertainer (Uncle Bobby), Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes, and Carlos Mencia. Including guest stars for this special: Anderson .Paak (Mall Elf), Lil Rel Howery (Bubble), JB Smoove (Mall Santa), Karlous Miller (Benny), Tone Loc (Penny Loc) & others. It for sure looks like plenty of cheerful holiday fun.

When Penny Proud’s rant about Wizmas and the commercialization of Christmas causes Santa to quit on Christmas Eve, Penny finds herself guilted into putting on the red suit and replacing him. And in the process of delivering Yuletide cheer with the help of Santa’s irreverent elves, she discovers that indeed the Christmas spirit is still alive. A Proud Family Wizmas is a holiday special based on the animated series The Proud Family. This spin-off special is created by David H. Brooks and Bruce W. Smith and also co-written and co-directed by the two of them as well. Produced by Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Kids & Family. Made by Portland-based stop-motion studio HouseSpecial. Kurt Farquhar also returns as songwriter and composer, with six new original songs featured in the holiday special. Executive produced by Ralph Farquhar & Bruce W. Smith. Disney debuts this A Proud Family Wizmas animated holiday special event streaming on Disney+ starting November 14th, 2026 coming up this fall. Who wants to watch this?
