Hey Dude has opened its first full-price standalone store in Austin, marking a new chapter in the footwear brand’s retail strategy.
Dubbed “Hey Dude Country”, the new concept store is located at 1708 South Congress Street.
Spanning approximately 3,300 square feet, the Austin location is significantly larger than the brand’s outlet stores and has been designed to showcase the full assortment across men’s, women’s and children’s categories. The store will also carry limited-edition collections exclusive to the Austin location, alongside select online-exclusive products not typically available through Hey Dude’s outlet network.
The opening represents a milestone for the brand, which previously operated approximately 75 outlet locations but had yet to launch a dedicated full-price retail concept. The brand expects the location to attract both loyal customers and first-time shoppers discovering Hey Dude in person.
The store opening comes as Hey Dude works to regain momentum following softer recent performance. In its first-quarter earnings report released on April 30, Crocs Inc. reported that Hey Dude revenue declined 12.3% to $154 million. Direct-to-consumer revenue increased 8.6% to $71 million during the quarter, while wholesale sales fell 24.7% to $83 million.
