Hoka opens first Qatar store

French performance brand Hoka is opening its first store in Qatar, opting for the nation’s capital of Doha to make its debut.

Located in Place Vendome, a $1.3 billion luxury shopping and entertainment complex located just 11 kilometres outside Doha’s city centre, the new 180-square-metre Hoka store neighbours fellow international brands New Balance and Geox, and joins the luxury precinct’s recent retail, leisure and food and beverage openings including Armani Caffe, Le Relais De L’Entrecote and Eataly.

Inside the Hoka store, shoppers will find the Deckers-owned brand’s compete line-up of performance footwear, apparel and accessories for runners, fitness lovers and everyday wear.

The Hoka Qatar debut was made in partnership with retail franchise group, Apparel Group, which operates a portfolio of international brands across the GCC and wider global markets.

In its most recent trading update earlier this month, U.S. parent company Deckers Brand said sales at ⁠its Hoka brand rose 14.5% during ​the fourth quarter, outpacing sales at sister brand Ugg, which rose 9.2% for the three months.
