“Don’t underestimate Latif.” Ohh this looks GOOD! Amazon MGM Studios + Orion Pictures have unveiled the main official trailer for the movie titled Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, set for release in theaters starting in September after the summer is over. Expanding nationwide in October after premiering at TIFF. From writer-director Bassam Tariq (director of Mogul Mowgli & “Bait”) comes an awesome action thriller. This seems like a clever Blade alternative after Marvel let Ali go and never made it. Mahershala Ali stars as Latif, a devoutly religious hitman who struggles to balance work, faith and fatherhood. When his wife dies, he embarks upon a desperate journey across Houston, Texas to protect his children, confronting the forces closing in around him – and the beliefs threatening to unravel within. Mahershala Ali called Latif “the most honest and complicated character I’ve read in a script” during an intro at CinemaCon, stating that this is “exactly the kind of movie I’ve been wanting to make.” The full cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, John Cho, Tramell Tillman, Abubakr Ali, Laith Nakli, Tiffany Boone, and Adia. This looks totally badass! Along with the impressive teaser, this trailer is enough to make me need to watch this immediately.

Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother stars Mahershala Ali as Latif, a deeply religious hitman trying to maintain a balance between his work, his faith, and fatherhood. That life suddenly becomes much more difficult and morally ambiguous when his wife dies. To protect his children, he sets out on a frantic journey across Houston that will test both his devotion & his skills with enemy forces zeroing in on him. As his external war threatens to undo him, his beliefs start to unravel from within, completely shaking who he is at his core.
