Monnalisa has signed a five-year licensing agreement with Dondup for the development, production and exclusive worldwide distribution of the brand’s kidswear line. The first collection, for spring–summer 2027, will be distributed through international multi-brand retailers and e-commerce platforms.
The agreement with Dondup forms part of the strategic roadmap launched by the Arezzo-based company to expand and consolidate its portfolio of licences with premium and high-end brands, and is the fourth after Ermanno Scervino, Philosophy and Alberta Ferretti.
“We are evolving towards an international, omnichannel, editorial and creative platform for kidswear, capable of elevating the brand and developing its potential across multiple fronts,” said Matteo Tugliani, CEO of Monnalisa, who leads the brand alongside Diletta Iacomoni, creative director and second generation of the family business.
“The agreement with Monnalisa represents a natural step in Dondup’s growth journey. Extending our universe into kidswear means bringing the same manufacturing quality and the same identity that have defined us for more than twenty-five years to younger customers,” explained Mauro Grange, CEO of the brand, which, since 2021, has been part of the Made in Italy Fund portfolio managed by Quadrivio & Pambianco.

The company is now entering a new creative phase that projects its identity—rooted in denim culture and an obsession with fit—onto an increasingly international stage. On May 25, Dondup announced that Lauro De Marinis, aka Achille Lauro, will be its first creative director; the brand’s sales in 2025 amounted to around €60 million.
Monnalisa S.p.A., founded in 1968 and listed on Euronext Growth Milan since 2018, is present in more than 50 countries, both through directly operated flagship stores and in the world’s most prestigious department stores, and in over 400 multi-brand outlets.
