Pamaf S.r.l., a Campania-based business holding company founded and led by Antonio Bernardo, which, after acquiring 100% of the shares in the home goods chain Kasanova last March, has announced that it has also acquired the entire Original Marines brand, which designs, manufactures, and distributes clothing for infants, children, and teens. Last November, Pamaf sold 37% of the Italian fashion retail chain Piazza Italia to LB Holding, owned by Luigi Bernardo, Antonio’s brother.
Pamaf Retail S.r.l., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pamaf S.r.l., the industrial and commercial holding company based in Naples founded and led by Antonio Bernardo, is the entity that finalized the agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Original Marines S.p.A.
The transaction, aimed at relaunching the brand, will enable Original Marines to embark on a new phase of optimizing its business structure and consolidating its sales network, which currently includes over 500 retail locations in Italy and abroad (including company-owned and franchised stores), with a workforce of approximately 1,700 employees, all of whom will retain their positions.
According to a press release, the shareholders of Original Marines have assessed Pamaf’s offer as fully capable of ensuring operational continuity and concrete prospects for industrial development. The entry of the new shareholder represents a crucial strategic step, guaranteeing stability, business continuity, and growth for employees, franchise networks, affiliates, and business partners.
