Some hotels in Dubai have started bringing back employees who were relocated to other markets at the start of the U.S.-Iran war.
“We have started gradually bringing colleagues back to our Dubai hotels as business levels strengthen,” said Saurabh Tiwari, vice president of operations for the Middle East, Maldives and Sri Lanka at Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), which operates the Taj. “During the disruption, some team members were temporarily reassigned to other Taj properties within the region and the wider IHCL network. We are primarily bringing them back across operational departments such as food & beverage, front office, housekeeping, and culinary.”
Taj Dubai claims it has maintained occupancy in the high-70% range over the past two months, while Taj Exotica, The Palm has grown from approximately 36% in June to 50% in July and is forecast to close August above 60%, with “encouraging demand” from the UK and Europe, Tiwari said. Taj Jumeirah
