Award-winning social enterprise Women in Travel CIC was at WTM London this week to unveil its new branding, logo and vision.
Women in Travel CIC supports underserved and underrepresented women into employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in travel and tourism, and the new branding is designed to celebrate its first 10 years of social impact, whilst looking ahead with vision and ambition towards a more inclusive travel and tourism industry, where women from all backgrounds can access, participate in, influence and benefit from economic opportunities equitably.
Developed by Mirabelle, and in close consultation with the Women in Travel CIC advisory board, the Women in Travel CIC brand will now form the umbrella for all of Women in Travel’s products and programmes, for example the industry-leading IWTTF (International Women in Travel & Tourism) Forum will now become the Women in Travel CIC Forum and Awards, and the women-led tours will be known as Women in Travel CIC Experiences.
Speaking on stage at the Experience Hub on Wednesday morning at WTM London, Women in Travel CIC’s founder and Managing Director Alessandra LoTufo Alonso said:
“We are on the eve of our 10th anniversary, and it makes me quite emotional to look back at what we have achieved.
“We have worked with some incredible partners over the years, including Intrepid, Trip.com, the TUI Care Foundation, Google, WTM and so many more, and we are so grateful for their collaboration and for believing in our message and vision. Without their support, for example, we would not have been able to offer over 2,600 hours of specialist mentoring, allyship and training to 65 women on our tour guiding academy – which is just one part of our wider programme to foster inclusion in the travel industry.
“2027 will be an exciting year for us, and we look forward to working with those valued partners – and any others than are interested in working with us – to make a real impact on the lives of the women we support, and their communities, whilst making travel and tourism a more inclusive and more successful industry.”
More information on Women in Travel CIC’s new branding, vision and social impact will be revealed in due course.
