“I really wanted Reggie to feel really comfortable, he had never been to New York. I had to get him the best pizza…” A24 has unveiled a very fun walk-and-talk promo featurette for the excellent film Club Kid, marking the feature directorial debut of actor / filmmaker Jordan Firstman. It’s one of my favorite films of the year! Opening soon this awards season and it’s a must see. Club Kid is written & directed by & stars Firstman (watch the trailer). It first premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and was one of the greatest discoveries from Cannes this year (here’s my top review). A hard-partying New York City club promoter sees his whirlwind lifestyle upended by the arrival of the 10-year-old son he never knew he had. The film stars Jordan Firstman, Reggie Absolom as his kid Arlo, Diego Calva, Cara Delevingne, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Colleen Camp. This video features everyone’s favorites Jordan & Reggie going for a stroll nowadays around NYC where they filmed many scenes, chatting about any and everything. It’s a fun way to promote this movie without some stale, generic PR-packaged video. Plus these two boys really are the best.
Here’s the “New York Walk & Talk” promo for Jordan Firstman’s movie Club Kid, direct from YouTube:

The life of washed-up New York City underground party promoter Peter (starring Jordan Firstman) takes an unexpected turn when he is forced to suddenly care for Arlo (newcomer Reggie Absolom), a 10-year old son that he never knew he had. Club Kid is written and directed by American actor / comedian / filmmaker Jordan Firstman, making his feature directorial debut after numerous short films and episodes of “This Close” and “Cinema Toast” series previously. It’s produced by Michael Bloom, Alex Coco, Galen Core, Ryan Heller. This initially premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival playing in the Un Certain Regard section this year (read our review), and will also screen at the New York Film Festival. A24 debuts Firstman’s Club Kid movie in select US theaters starting November 6th, 2026 in the fall. Any good? Who wants to watch?
