“All I ask: is that you be excellent at your work, and follow my instructions.” Vertical has debuted the main official trailer for the film titled simply Transplant, an indie thriller about dueling surgeons. This initially premiered in 2024 at numerous regional festivals, including at the Chicago, Virginia, and Philadelphia Film Festivals. Ambitious surgical resident Jonah Yoon will do anything to become a top surgeon. But under Dr. Harmon, a brilliant heart transplant surgeon, Jonah is pushed to dangerous extremes when absolute loyalty is the price of success. Dr. Harmon is obsessed with protecting his perfect reputation. When his mother’s health deteriorates, Jonah must choose between his duty as a son and the career his family sacrificed to help him achieve. Damn! Starring Bill Camp as Dr. Harmon, Eric Nam as Dr. Yoon, Michelle Okkyung Lee, April Grace, and Adam Arkin. Wow this looks intense! And I dig a good hospital thriller that’s about the intricacies and politics of the doctor world since we don’t often get a peek into this world much. Take a look.
Here’s the new official trailer (+ poster) for Jason Park’s film Transplant, direct from YouTube:
