PixelMeter, the first and only review aggregator for cameras, lenses, smartphones, and more, has been updated with the most-requested feature since it launched last month: the ability to directly compare products.
“When we created PixelMeter, our goal was to give photographers and videographers a place to quickly gauge how reviewers across the internet feel about a camera or lens at a glance, while still offering easy access to full reviews for those wanting deeper context behind a rating,” Michael Zhang, publisher and founder of PetaPixel, says.
“As many readers pointed out, the next logical step was enabling side-by-side comparisons—allowing users to compare gear head-to-head, review consensus on pros and cons, and evaluate key specifications to make informed decisions much more easily. We now deliver that.”

The new comparison tool can be accessed in a couple of ways. First, while on any PixelMeter category page, an option to “Compare” will appear in the upper left-hand corner when hovering over any product listing. Clicking this option will start a comparison page, and users can then add more products to the comparison as they see fit.
Comparisons can also be started from any PixelMeter product page, directly to the right of the product name.
Camera and lens specifications are extremely tricky to get 100% correct, as specifications vary in how they are presented even on dealer product pages. If there is an issue with a particular specification, you can suggest a correction (via an option right above the specifications section on any product page), and we’ll double-check the issue and make any necessary edits. We greatly appreciate your help in making sure PixelMeter is a reliable, useful resource.
PixelMeter is still growing and improving. We encourage users to suggest products to be added (this can be done by clicking the small + icon right above the “What Reviewers Say” section of any product page). We also welcome feedback on the platform, so please leave comments below with any suggestions or bugs that come up while using PixelMeter.
We’d love to hear what feature you would like to see next on PixelMeter! Let us know what you think in the comments below. Also, as a reminder, PetaPixel Members can browse PixelMeter with no ads ever.
