Wyndham is moving into curated vacation rentals, a market where hotel loyalty programs and credit card issuers are waging an intense competition for travelers.
Wyndham on Thursday announced the launch of Homes & Havens, a collection of nearly 800 professionally managed homes and villas in the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe, bookable through its Wyndham Rewards loyalty program. Wyndham said hundreds more homes are expected in the coming months.
The homes come through newly formed relationships with independent property managers and hospitality companies, including Brightwild, Simpson Travel, StayTerra, and Thousand Trails.
Some of the partners are already live, with others coming in the months ahead, Michael Shiwdin, group vice president of integrated marketing, loyalty and digital at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, told Skift. Wyndham Rewards has about 129 million enrolled members.
